Taft High School District
The Taft High School District serves residents of Woodland Hills’ real estate and is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Located on Ventura Boulevard within the San Fernando Valley, California, the school opened in 1960. As a highly ranked school within this district, 21.4% of students attending Taft have been identified as gifted. The school has the highest number of open enrollment students within the state. In addition, Taft has won first place in the National Academic Decathlon Competition twice. In 2008, the school was awarded the SSP Nano Technology grant by the state.
