Calabasas High School was named a California Distinguished School in 2000, 2005 and 2009. Students enrolled in Calabasas High School are very active in student government as well as musical performances and drama presentations, clubs, the school newspaper, yearbook and an instrumental music program that has won several awards. They have an interscholastic sports league that is quite competitive. The school encourages volunteering with the community.
The school offers honors classes in Algebra II; Biology; Chemistry; English I, II, III; Environmental Science; French IV; Geometry; Math Analysis; Physiology; Spanish IV and World History. Providing students with the assistance needed to develop academic as well as social and personal skills to allow them to become contributing members of society is a high priority at Calabasas High School. This is one more reason this school is so highly rated and is a desirable district among those who choose Calabasas real estate.
The school offers two days a week as Mandated Student Support periods for students who have received multiple Ds or Fs. This allows students an opportunity to receive academic help from teachers. Graduation requirements include 230 credits in basic subjects as well as electives. This school is recognized for providing the educational requirements students need to succeed.
